PHILFOODEX Late President Receives Posthumous Award

The Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization, Inc. (PHILFOODEX) attended the 30th Anniversary of the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT) held last October 28, 2022 at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Hotel Manila. During the said event, the late PHILFOODEX President Roberto “Bobby” C. Amores was awarded posthumously for his dedicated service to the food exporting industry. During his active life, the late Mr. Amores, a well-known stanchion of the food industry and a stalwart advocate of the agriculture sector, had served in various capacities in several agriculture and food industry organizations composed mostly of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization, Inc. PHILFOODEX FEATURED IN CCN

The Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization, Inc. (PHILFOODEX) was featured in the Chinese Commercial News (CCN), commonly known as Commercial News or Siong Po. Founded in October 1919, CCNis the oldest existing Chinese-language newspaper in the Philippines, and the third oldest existing newspaper in the country.


PHILFOODEX PARTICIPATES IN 16TH PADDAY NA LIMA Regional Trade and Investment Fair

PHILFOODEX, through its President Ruben See, participated in the 16th Padday na Lima Regional Trade and Investment Fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) products in the Cagayan Valley Region.

This year’s Padday na Lima (Ibanag word for “made by hands”), is tagged as the first-ever all-in-one edition of this annual celebration that brings holiday vibes. This is because this year’s edition features investment opportunities, new product innovations, pre-processed institutionally packed products, the first-ever Buyer's Program, Philippine National Standard-certified products, research and development outputs and high-quality items made by the local MSMEs.


Memorandum of Agreement Between PHILFOODEX and KOIMA

PHILFOODEX President, Mr. Roberto C. Amores signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Korean Importers Association (KOIMA) represented by its Chairman and CEO Mr. Tae-Yong Shinn. This agreement have pave a solid foundation for a closer and more practical cooperation between the two (2) countries by signing said MOA which highlights the setting of Philippine-Korea Bilateral Enterprise Business Council. The MOA promises to establish a more productive relationship between the two (2) organizations.


PHILFOODEX General Membership Meeting

The Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization Inc. (PHILFOODEX) held its First General Membership Meeting (GMM) for 2013 last Tuesday, 23 April 2013. With the Theme: “Sustainable Food Business, One of the Key Drivers of the Philippine Economy”, our invited guest was Dr. Jesusa Joyce Cirunay, OIC Food Regulation and Research of FDA, who gave updates about the latest development and programs of FDA. We have also invited Mr. Jovel Cipriano, Founder and CEO of PinoyDelikasi.com, and he discussed the best practices in E-Commerce which are critical areas on the development and sustainability of food businesses.

We are also proud to introduce six (6) new member-companies who were inducted during the First PHILFOODEX GMM for 2013.
